Aliens vs. Predator Requiem faired the worst among fans of both the Alien and Predatorfranchises when it hit theaters in 2007. From the acting, to the scripting, to the bad lighting, fans regard AvPR as a missed opportunity, primarily because the concept of a Pred-Alien hybrid was something many of us were waiting to see after the semi-lackluster Alien vs. Predator film from 2004 as well as becoming addicted to the popular AvP PC games of the late 90's and early 2000's.

Despite the negative reviews Requiem received, the deisgn for the Predalien was something many fans could appreciate. Below is another video from Studio ADI, showcasing early Predalien concept designs and the process by which the creative team brought this Xeno-bomination to life. Check out the video below and let us know what you thought of the Predalien in the comments! Do you prefer the design they decided upon, or do you think one of the earlier designs would have been more fitting?

Interesting Designs... i think the final one we had in the movie worked though... just the Plot was not done correct...

But i do like designs 0:51, 2:02, 2:23, 2:50  and 2:58 Mind you from 3:10 onwards are also good

Yes I agree with Dave about the final one working well, but my favorite by far of the unused designs was the one where the Predator mouth things opened up to the skull? Yeah that was crazy. It would not have worked that well on screen (at least I do not think so), but it looked awesome as hell.

I cannot even explain how much I hated the Predalien and the other Xeno designs in AVPR. Too fleshy and rubbery for my liking. All ADI should have done is looked towards the Queen Xeno in AVP and created a younger, smaller version of it and add a subtle nod to the head shape of the Predator. Madibles yes, a slightly broarder head and a slightly visible Predator skull under her cowl. Perhaps some dreadlock shapes worked into the head, no loose rubbery laughable dreadlocks. What we got was far to Predator like and too light in colour. In my mind the Xeno genome (if they have one) trumps all in the creation of a fully grown Xeno. Overall biomechanical, dark metallic cplouring, slim, spindley and hard. They over thought it and it was totally unnecessary.

I hated all the AVP espeically Grid (with the exception of the Predalien) and Alien Ressurection aliens.

ALIEN, ALIENS, and ALIEN 3 had far superior alien designs by far.
